How We Got Started

Book Décor is a company that has grown out of a passion for reading, art and history. I stumbled upon these books and immediately fell in love. The smell of the leather, the beauty of the bindings, holding a piece of history and art in my hand, I was hooked. The rest, as they say, is history.

In the years I have been working with antique books, I have placed books in hotels all over the world, had them in movies, plays, operas, television shows, amusement parks, window dressings, and photo shoots. Some of my clients include Caesars Palace, Ralph Lauren, The Chicago Lyric Opera House, ABC Television, and Disney. But, my favorite places to install my books are in private homes and libraries.

Jorge Luis Borges said, “I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.” I couldn’t agree more.

Book Decor has been around for almost 35 years. I have had the privilege of working with these books for almost 20 of those years. It is time to retire. I will continue my search for beautiful and interesting books and I hope you do as well. Thank you for everything.
